FLSA Status: Exempt, Full-Time
Location: Seattle, WA — Hybrid (in-office 3 days per week)
Salary Range: $70,000 to $80,000
Position Summary
Carbitex is seeking a creative, hands-on Social Media & Content Specialist to lead and grow our organic social media presence across multiple digital platforms. This role owns day-to-day content creation end-to-end — from writing platform-native copy and designing visual assets to producing and editing short-form video — as well as publishing, community engagement, and analytics reporting.
As a B2B2C ingredient brand, Carbitex occupies a unique position in the market. Our flexible carbon fiber technology is engineered into products from leading footwear brands, requiring content that speaks to both industry professionals and performance-minded consumers. A significant portion of our content involves technical and scientific subject matter, including biomechanics, engineering principles, and materials science. The ability to translate that complexity into clear, engaging, audience-appropriate content is the defining skill of this role.
This position will also play a key role in launching and growing Carbitex's influencer and creator program, building relationships with biomechanists, sports medicine professionals, footwear designers, and other trusted voices in the performance footwear space.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and produce on-brand graphic assets for social posts, carousels, and campaign content using brand guidelines and tools such as Canva, Adobe Illustrator, and Figma.
- Write compelling, platform-specific copy that reflects Carbitex's brand voice — technically credible, clear, and engaging across audiences.
- Produce and edit short-form video content for social media platforms using tools such as CapCut or equivalent.
- Capture content during material and product testing, including lab sessions in Carbitex's biomechanics lab, to support authentic, behind-the-scenes storytelling.
- Manage and publish content across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, and future platforms like Reddit.
- Develop and maintain a multi-platform content calendar aligned with product launches, partner milestones, and industry moments.
- Engage with online communities through comments, direct messages, and proactive outreach to relevant creators and industry conversations.
- Track key performance metrics and prepare regular analytics reports with actionable insights.
- Collaborate with engineering and principal scientist to ensure technical accuracy of all content prior to publication.
- Coordinate social content efforts with partner brands and support co-marketing initiatives.
- Monitor social media trends and identify opportunities for brand participation and increased visibility.
- Build, launch, and manage the company's influencer and creator partnership program.
- Assist with coverage of trade shows, product launches, and industry events.
- Perform other marketing-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- Strong copywriting skills and the ability to translate complex technical or scientific concepts into clear, engaging content for digital audiences.

- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Collaborative approach and openness to technical feedback from subject matter experts.
- Genuine curiosity about technical or scientific subject matter and willingness to develop fluency over time.
