Horn, The U.S. Army Ceremonial Band

The U.S. Army Band 'Pershing’s Own' is seeking a Horn player for its Ceremonial Band. This prestigious ensemble performs at significant national events and is known for its exceptional musicianship. The Ceremonial Band consists of 72 musicians who primarily perform outdoor ceremonies in the National Capital region, including Arlington National Cemetery, the White House, and the Pentagon. The work schedule is variable, mainly consisting of daytime hours with occasional nights or weekends. Musicians also have opportunities to perform in concerts and recitals. Auditions will take place at Brucker Hall in Fort Myer, Virginia. Candidates can choose to submit a live or recorded preliminary audition. Those who do not advance from the recorded audition are encouraged to attend the live audition on October 5, 2026. For civilian candidates who advance to the semi-finals, travel expenses may be covered by the U.S. Army, pending enlistment qualification and funding approval. The semi-final round will also occur on October 5, 2026.
