Our client, a food service package manufacturing company, is looking for a graphic designer to join their team on a short term contract basis.

The assignment will start in August and run through the end of December.

It is fully on site 5 days a week.

Experience with food packaging design a plus.

Customer Artwork & Packaging Design

Manage the Sales Sketch Request process from concept through completion, ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality delivery of customer artwork.

Create custom packaging concepts by applying customer logos, brand standards, and vector artwork to paper cups, foam cups, containers, bowls, lids, and other foodservice packaging templates.

Develop presentation-quality digital renderings, product mockups, and visual concepts that support customer presentations, new business opportunities, and product commercialization.

Prepare production-ready artwork that meets manufacturing specifications while preserving customer brand integrity.

Collaborate directly with Sales, Customer Service, and customers to gather artwork requirements, incorporate revisions, and obtain approvals.

Ensure artwork complies with commercial print production standards, including proper sizing, bleeds, color management, image resolution, and file integrity.

Design and produce a variety of marketing materials including product catalogs, brochures, sell sheets, presentations, advertisements, trade show graphics, promotional materials, email campaigns, and sales collateral.

Develop creative digital assets for company websites, email marketing, social media platforms, digital advertising, and other online communications.

Support ongoing brand development and visual identity initiatives across the company's portfolio of brands.

Ensure brand consistency across all customer-facing communications and marketing materials.

Production & Asset Management

Coordinate carton artwork development in partnership with Packaging, Purchasing, Operations, and external suppliers.

Prepare print-ready files for commercial production using industry best practices.

Maintain organized libraries of customer artwork, templates, logos, photography, and digital assets.

Manage artwork revisions, maintain version control, and archive completed projects for future use.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner closely with Sales to support customer presentations, new product introductions, and strategic business opportunities.

Collaborate with Marketing to develop compelling campaigns that support business growth and strengthen customer engagement.

Work with Operations and Manufacturing to ensure artwork is optimized for production capabilities and print quality.

Build strong relationships across departments while serving as a trusted creative resource throughout the organization.

Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while balancing competing priorities and meeting aggressive deadlines.

Monitor artwork requests from initiation through completion while maintaining proactive communication with project stakeholders.

Recommend improvements to creative workflows, artwork management processes, and project efficiency.

Stay current on design trends, printing technologies, Adobe Creative Cloud advancements, and packaging innovations to continually enhance creative capabilities.

Required Qualifications

Strong experience in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Minimum of 3-5 years of professional graphic design experience.

Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
