Eventual is a new media brand for the prediction market era. Somewhere out there, a small army of sharps and forecasting savants can tell you the real odds on almost anything before it happens: elections, culture, sports, the news cycle itself. That world used to be locked in group chats and private servers. We're building the media brand that brings it to everyone else. We've already assembled a collection of the top 20 most prolific traders on Polymarket and Kalshi as standing guests, writers, and cohosts.
Think of it as what happens when the smartest person in the prediction market chat gets a camera, a mic, and an audience. We cover the news through the lens of "what are the odds," and we're doing it fast, opinionated, and genuinely entertaining, not like a trading terminal with a content team bolted on.
We're early. That's the whole opportunity. There's no legacy account to inherit, no ten person committee to get a post through, no brand voice you're stuck imitating. You'd be one of the first people in the room, shaping what this brand sounds like before anyone else has.
This role starts as a contract, with real potential to grow into full time as Eventual scales. If you've got something to prove, this is your shot to get in early and help blow something up.
THE JOB
We're hiring someone to make Eventual impossible to ignore on X, and to help us win on Substack and YouTube along the way.
Not "social media manager." Not "community coordinator." We want the person who's already got terminally online energy, who already understands why the funniest brand accounts land and a corporate post doesn't, and who wants to point that instinct at building a media brand from scratch.
You will:
Come up with post ideas, daily, sometimes hourly, that connect what's happening in the internet's bloodstream to what Eventual is doing.
Know the meme before it's a meme. Know when a trend is dying the same week everyone else finds out it exists.
Work with production to find the 15 seconds in a show that's actually going to move.
Work with clipping and editing to turn that into something that spreads.
Post like a person, not a brand account run by committee. Reply, quote tweet, start fights (the good kind), be part of the timeline instead of broadcasting into it.
Build a voice for Eventual that people recognize before they see the logo.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We want someone with something to prove. Someone who wants to be the reason a new media brand became a thing, and who wants people to know it.
You live on X. Not "active on X," you live there. You already know today's discourse before we bring it up. You have taste: you can tell the difference between a post that's actually funny and one that's just trying to be. You know when a joke runs one line too long.
You move fast without needing a lot of structure. We're not going to hand you a content calendar. We'll give you context and get out of your way.
You're genuinely funny, the kind of funny that works on a timeline of strangers, not just your group chat. You're internet fluent without being exhausting about it: you get the humor, the pacing, the format instincts, without performing "internet person" as a bit.
You can take a rough clip or a half formed idea and see the version of it that gets millions of views. You want to build something, not just execute a brief.
If any of that made you a little defensive, that's information.
WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY DO
Pitch and write social post ideas across X (primary), Substack, and YouTube community and shorts.
Track trends, formats, and meme cycles in real time and find fast, tasteful ways to connect them to Eventual.
Partner with the production team to flag clip worthy moments from shows as they're being made, not after.
Partner with editors and clippers to shape those moments into posts built to travel.
Engage as Eventual: replies, quote tweets, threads, in a voice that feels like a person with opinions, not a brand with a style guide.
Help define and protect what "Eventual's voice" actually is as the brand grows.
QUALIFICATIONS
A track record (accounts you've run, threads that popped, brands you've helped grow) that shows you can actually do this, more than a resume that says you can.
Real fluency in X and Twitter culture, internet humor, and how virality actually happens (hint: it's rarely the polished version).
Comfort working with ambiguity, fast iteration, and minimal process.
Willingness to work as a contractor, with the flexibility and pace that comes with it.
We're not filtering by degree, title, or years of experience. We're filtering by whether you're actually this person.
