Communications & Digital Media Coordinator

The Jon Harris Campaign is seeking a creative, organized, and politically engaged Communications & Digital Media Coordinator to help tell the campaign's story across digital platforms. This position will lead the campaign's day-to-day social media presence while supporting communications, content creation, rapid response, and digital outreach efforts. The role works closely with the Candidate and Campaign Manager to grow the campaign's online presence, increase voter engagement, and communicate the campaign's vision across Florida's 16th Congressional District.
Responsibilities
Manage the campaign's social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, X, Threads, and TikTok.
Create compelling graphics, videos, reels, and written content.
Develop and maintain a weekly content calendar.
Draft social media posts, email newsletters, press releases, and other campaign communications.
Monitor news and political developments to support rapid-response messaging.
Capture and edit photos and videos from campaign events.
Coordinate with volunteers and supporters to expand the campaign's digital reach.
Track analytics and recommend strategies to increase engagement.
Assist with website updates and digital fundraising communications.
Support campaign events and perform other communications duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Passion for electing Jon Harris and building a grassroots campaign.
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
Familiarity with political communications and current events.
Experience managing social media accounts for campaigns, nonprofits, businesses, or advocacy organizations preferred.
Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar tools.
Experience with Meta Business Suite and social media analytics.
Photography and video editing experience preferred.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Spanish or another language is a plus.
Compensation
$20–$25 per hour ,

based on experience (paid as a 1099 contractor)
Hybrid (Tampa Bay; occasional travel throughout Florida's 16th Congressional District required)
Up to 20 hours per week (flexible)
Campaign term: July 2026 – November 10, 2026
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Tampa, FL 33602
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
