Overview

The Product Manager – qPCR systems & Reagents will drive U.S. commercial growth, market adoption, and day‑to‑day product management of the core molecular portfolio including the MagnaPure System, LightCycler Pro System, LightCycler 480 System, cobas z480 Analyzer, and TIB Molbiol LightMix Modular Assay Kits.
Key Responsibilities

6‑Month Deliverables

Portfolio SME Mastery: Develop deep technical and clinical fluency to become the internal Subject‑Matter Expert for assigned instrumentation and assay portfolios.
Installed Base & Market Audit: Map current U.S. installed base, evaluate system utilization trends, and identify conversion opportunities for LightMix assay menus.
Field Stakeholder Discovery: Conduct listening tours with sales, technical support, and application teams to document customer pain points and validation hurdles.
Immediate Sales Enablement: Target gaps in marketing collateral and training tools, delivering quick‑turn resources to support active pipeline opportunities.

12‑Month Deliverables

Field Technical Consultation: Travel to engage lab directors, PhDs, and laboratory scientists, leading peer‑level technical discussions on assay development and validation protocols.
Technical Storytelling: Deliver high‑impact technical presentations to prospective customers, translating complex molecular data into value‑driven stories.
Peer Network Building: Connect power users with prospective accounts to create a knowledge‑exchange network.
Competitive Workflow Analysis: Evaluate competitive extraction and PCR platforms, mapping technical and operational advantages.
Scientific Asset Mapping: Partner with Medical Science Affairs to organize validation protocols and peer‑reviewed data into a reference library for the sales force.

24‑Month Deliverables

Establish Diagnostic Center of Excellence (DCOE) Sites with high‑volume accounts.
Global Pipeline Advocacy: Serve as primary technical advocate for U.S. laboratory requirements within the global life‑cycle pipeline.
Assay Menu Scalability: Standardize validation pathways for TIB Molbiol LightMix® assays across major accounts.
Sales and Field Support: Travel up to 25% of time, support field teams and build relationships with key opinion leaders.
Competitive Positioning: Maintain deep market intelligence on extraction platforms and alternative solutions.
Lead Generation Engine: Initiate marketing and lead‑generation activities, including trade shows and digital marketing.
Product Management Operations: Manage pipeline forecasting, pricing coordination, back‑order monitoring, and Salesforce tracking.
Commercial Content Creation: Produce technical sales collateral, white papers, regional toolsets, and digital marketing programs.
Cross‑Functional Strategy Alignment: Align regional tactics with corporate revenue targets through collaboration with sales, marketing, and global partners.
Voice of Customer: Translate field insights into technical feedback for global product updates.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field.
Minimum 5years of marketing, business, sales, or relevant experience.
Preferred: Product marketing, technical sales, or experience supervising/developing Laboratory Developed Tests (LDTs) in a high‑complexity clinical laboratory.
Advanced degrees (MBA, Master’s, or Doctorate) in business or life science are an advantage.
Ability to translate complex molecular biology concepts into clear business or clinical stories.
Strong understanding of the U.S. clinical molecular diagnostics landscape, including CLIA/CAP compliance.
Hands‑on or deep technical familiarity with real‑time PCR (qPCR) systems, automated nucleic acid extraction, or assay development.
Knowledge of competitive systems that run LDTs in clinical laboratories.
Proven ability to navigate a fast‑paced, matrixed environment with diverse stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple product lines and customer initiatives simultaneously.
Location and Compensation

Preferred location: On‑site in Indianapolis. Remote U.S. candidates near a major airport may be considered. Travel of up to 25% of time is required. Salary range: $101,700–$188,900, plus discretionary annual bonus and benefits.
