Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000

Region: Mid-Atlantic (DC, DE, MD, VA, WV)

Responsibilities

Plan, lead, and execute all fundraising, advancement, marketing, and communications strategies for the school.

Report directly to the Head of School, serve on the Senior Leadership Team, and collaborate closely with the Board of Trustees, faculty, staff, families, and external partners to support the school’s long‑term financial sustainability and strengthen mission‑driven messaging.

Oversee all development functions typical of an independent school, including annual giving, major gifts, donor stewardship, events, and advancement operations.

Lead all communications and marketing efforts, steward the school’s brand, voice, and public presence, and maintain strategic oversight and accountability for all messaging, campaigns, and outcomes.

Manage and support a small team of two, playing a central role in shaping how the Pilot community understands, supports, and champions the school’s mission of unlocking the potential of every student.
