The Role
Associate Photographers are responsible for media collection for Homes.com and Apartments.com, using Pro 3 Matterport cameras, digital cameras, and an iPad to create virtual tours, floorplans, and photography for residential homes. Each photographer has a core territory and appointments are scheduled for specific dates and times to capture the properties.
Responsibilities
Support marketing efforts on Homes.com and Apartments.com by capturing 3‑D virtual tours and footprints.
Create a portfolio of photographs that best feature homes and apartments.
Work closely with scheduling and dispatch teams to maximize appointments and meet client demands.
Communicate professionally with clients, sales, researcher partners, and management to evaluate priorities and tasks.
While not working on a residential home, navigate one‑mile square grids to ensure commercial real estate data coverage, identifying new inventory and missing availability.
Abide by CoStar safety standards to safeguard company vehicle and equipment.
Represent CoStar in a professional manner at all times.
Participate in conference calls with sales and research teams as needed.
Physical Requirements
Repetitive and frequent sitting in a car, standing, and walking up to 8 hours per day.
Must lift, carry, and maneuver equipment weighing up to 5 pounds.
Repetitive hand and arm movements are needed to type on a tablet or laptop and operate camera equipment.
Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, lifting, twisting, and carrying are necessary.
Ability to work and drive outside in all seasons.
Ability to work weekends on a rotating schedule.
Qualifications
At least 2 years of professional experience.
Real estate photography experience required.
Experience as a professional photographer, or a recently earned degree in photography.
High School Diploma or GED.
Strong customer service experience with a client‑first mindset.
Experience as a drone photographer with FAA Part 107 license (obtained within 30 days of offer).
Strong time‑management skills and detail orientation.
Capability to capture and enter data accurately.
Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.
Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, Internet applications, and Apple iOS products.
Enjoys working independently in a fast‑paced environment.
Field experience preferred.
Valid driver’s license.
Clean driving record.
Compensation
The Associate Photographer position is hourly with a bonus‑eligible structure based on performance metrics. The hourly rate equates to an annual salary of $50,000, with opportunity for monthly bonuses.
