Your impact
We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurially minded consulting leader to join our Digital & Data (D&D) practice and drive accelerated growth in the hyperscale datacenter market. This Senior Manager‑level role sits at the intersection of OT Cybersecurity consulting and PMO delivery. You will serve as the senior client‑facing leader on complex, mission‑critical datacenter programs helping to shape digital strategy, leading cross‑functional delivery teams, and expanding our footprint with hyperscale operators and their development partners.

Business Development & Growth

Support Data Center Market Pursuits – Support new consulting opportunities with hyperscale data centre developers, co‑location operators, and mission‑critical end users, with a focus on digital stack, cybersecurity, and PMO service lines.

Proposal Leadership – Lead the development of compelling proposals and scopes of work; demonstrate breadth across Digital PMO governance, OT/IT cybersecurity architecture, controls integration, and data analytics for datacenter programmes.

Client Relationship Management – Build and maintain executive‑level relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor on digital transformation, cybersecurity posture, and programme delivery strategy.

Capability Expansion – Collaborate with Market leadership to extend offerings in areas such as Digital Twin, Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), and AI‑enabled data analytics for data centre operations.

Program Delivery Leadership

Digital PMO Oversight – Oversee the delivery of Digital PMO engagements for large‑scale data centre programmes, including stakeholder alignment, master schedule management, critical path execution, governance structure design, and vendor workstream facilitation.

OT Cybersecurity Oversight – Oversee the delivery of IT/OT cybersecurity programmes for data centre clients, including security architecture, network segmentation, GRC frameworks aligned to NIST CSF/800-82, IEC 62443, and NERC CIP, threat monitoring integration, and grey zone resilience planning.

Cross‑Domain Integration – Coordinate across Controls, Data Analytics & AI, Asset Management, Energy, and Cybersecurity workstreams to deliver integrated digital solutions including Data Lake architecture, unified IT/OT data flows, DCIM integration, and operational optimisation (PUE, chiller plant, energy management).

Product Integration – Champion the use of physics‑based simulation and digital twin technologies to validate design assumptions, accelerate Level4 commissioning, and reduce operational risk on major datacentre builds.

People & Team Development

Team Leadership – Lead, mentor, and grow a matrixed consulting team combining Core PMO delivery specialists with domain SMEs across cybersecurity, data, controls, and energy.

Talent Development – Identify resourcing needs, support hiring efforts, and build team capability to scale the practice in line with datacentre market demand.

Thought Leadership – Represent Jacobs externally through white papers, conference presentations, and industry forums, establishing credibility in digital datacentre consulting.

What you’ll need

8+ years of experience in technology consulting, digital programme management, or OT/IT cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in a senior client‑facing or delivery leadership role.

Demonstrated experience leading complex, multi‑workstream consulting engagements for mission‑critical infrastructure such as data centres, industrial, utilities, or similar sectors.

Strong working knowledge of OT/IT cybersecurity frameworks including NIST CSF, NIST800‑82, IEC62443, and CIS Controls; familiarity with NERCCIP and ANSITIA‑942 is a plus.

Proven ability to manage Digital PMO functions integrated master scheduling, stakeholder governance, vendor management, risk management, and milestone‑driven delivery accountability.

Familiarity with data centre infrastructure systems including power distribution, cooling (chillers, CRAC/CRAH, CDU/RDHX), DCIM, BMS/EMS, SCADA, and IT/OT network architecture.

Ability to translate complex technical content into clear executive communications, proposals, and governance reporting.

Track record of growing client relationships and winning competitive consulting engagements.

Willingness and ability to travel to client sites up to35 % of time.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with hyperscale or co‑location datacentre development programmes (≥10 MW), including digital stack definition, vendor onboarding, and go‑live support.

Hands‑on background in IT/OT security architecture design, industrial control system network design, or operational technology infrastructure for data centres or industrial environments.

Familiarity with data architecture concepts Data Lake/Data Fabric design, API integration, unified IT/OT data flows, and data analytics platforms for operational intelligence.

Experience with digital twin, physics‑based simulation, or pre‑commissioning analysis tools applied to building systems or industrial control environments.

Exposure to HPC, DCaaS, or HPCaaS business models and their integration into datacentre operational frameworks.

Proficiency with Microsoft365, project scheduling tools (MSProject / Primavera), and digital collaboration platforms.

Minimum Education & Preferred Focus Areas

Bachelor’s degree required in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Systems), Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.

Master’s degree preferred in Engineering, Information Technology Management, Cybersecurity, or Business Administration.

NoteA formal degree is a preferred requirement. Equivalent experience in lieu of degree will be considered for candidates with an outstanding consulting and delivery track record in the datacentre / critical infrastructure sector.

The base salary range for this position is $150,000.00 to $180,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
