ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY
SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Dean, the Creative Specialist develops and implements strategic communications, marketing materials, digital media, and visual content that promote the Randall Lewis Healthy Communities Initiative and other College of Environmental Design initiatives.
SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU WILL GET TO DO (this is just a small sampling of work variety):
• Develop and implement communication strategies that promote the Randall Lewis Healthy Communities Initiative and other ENV projects.
• Design brochures, reports, infographics, posters, and promotional materials for special projects.
• Collaborate with the ENV Communications Specialist to package research/project outcomes for publication, presentations, grant reports, and community outreach.
• Develop and manage social media campaigns highlighting faculty research, student work, partnerships, and events related to ENV special projects.
• Produce photography, video, and multimedia content to document project activities and public programs.
• Design presentation materials for the Dean, faculty, and research teams.
• Coordinate printing, publication, and distribution of reports and marketing materials.
• Maintain digital archives of photographs, publications, graphics, and communication assets.
• Monitor communication metrics, website analytics, and social media engagement to evaluate outreach effectiveness.
• Assist in preparing communication materials that support fundraising, donor engagement, and grant proposals.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the scope and level of the position, as assigned by the Dean.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in Studio or Fine Arts.
• Excellent professional writing and visual communication skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
ABOUT US : As the largest employer of students on the Cal Poly Pomona campus, the Enterprises offers valuable work experience and hands-on training to approximately 1,500 Cal Poly Pomona students each year. The Enterprises offers positions in various fields; whether it is in the area of technology, science, retail, culinary arts, hospitality1500 management, leadership or research grants, these student employees participate in Cal Poly Pomona's learn-by-doing philosophy and acquire practical skills in their designated field of study.
The Enterprises also contributes operating support to nearly 1,100 Enterprises and scholarship programs every year, including Bronco Athletics and the Norman J. Priest Scholarship. In addition, the Enterprises administers grants and contracts, contributes to campus security, and supports several university publications. The Enterprises contributes over $1 million annually to Cal Poly Pomona.
