CRM Manager
Location : New York, NY
Compensation : $100,000 + Bonus
Position Overview
Our client is seeking a
CRM Manager
to lead the development and execution of Email and SMS marketing strategies that drive customer acquisition, engagement, retention, personalization, loyalty, and long-term customer value across eCommerce, retail, and special events.
This individual will own the company's CRM strategy and marketing automation initiatives, ensuring customers receive relevant, personalized communications throughout their lifecycle while maintaining a clean, compliant, and optimized customer database.
Key Responsibilities
CRM Strategy & Lifecycle Marketing
Develop and execute Email and SMS marketing strategies focused on customer acquisition, retention, personalization, and loyalty.
Manage customer lifecycle marketing initiatives across eCommerce, retail, and special events.
Drive customer engagement and long-term customer lifetime value (LTV) through targeted CRM campaigns.
Campaign Planning & Execution
Own the Email and SMS campaign calendar and workflow.
Execute all marketing campaigns, automated flows, and transactional communications.
Manage campaigns directly within Klaviyo and Attentive.
Ensure campaigns are delivered accurately and on schedule.
Marketing Automation & Customer Journeys
Develop advanced automated marketing journeys and triggered communications.
Design lifecycle campaigns that improve engagement and increase marketing efficiency.
Continuously optimize customer journeys using testing and performance insights.
Segmentation & Personalization
Build and maintain sophisticated customer segmentation strategies.
Deliver personalized communications based on customer behaviors, preferences, and engagement.
Continuously improve audience targeting to maximize campaign performance.
Creative Collaboration
Develop campaign messaging, content direction, and calls-to-action.
Create clear creative briefs for design and marketing teams.
Partner with Creative to develop engaging Email and SMS communications based on testing, customer behavior, and best practices.
CRM Administration & Data Management
Serve as the primary administrator for the CRM platform.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records.
Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with privacy regulations.
Implement CRM best practices for data management and customer communications.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with:
eCommerce
Paid Media
Retail
Events
Marketing
Align CRM initiatives with overall business objectives.
Support integrated omni-channel marketing strategies.
Analytics & Performance Reporting
Monitor campaign performance across Email and SMS channels.
Analyze customer engagement and campaign effectiveness.
Use performance data to optimize future campaigns.
Create weekly, monthly, and annual KPI reports and dashboards.
Present actionable insights to leadership.
Subscriber Growth & Customer Retention
Develop subscriber acquisition campaigns across digital channels.
Design and execute loyalty and retention initiatives.
Identify opportunities to improve customer lifetime value through omni-channel experiences.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
3–5+ years of CRM, lifecycle marketing, Email marketing, SMS marketing, or marketing automation experience within a direct-to-consumer (D2C) omni-channel environment.
Demonstrated success managing digital marketing projects and working with senior stakeholders.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Ability to simplify complex information for a variety of audiences.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
