Position Overview
The Associate Marketing Operations Manager is responsible for managing the end to end path to payment process of all marketing spend activities and investments for McCormick’s CA CPD and NA Flavor Solutions divisions. This position is responsible for controllership activities related to Marketing spend, including coordination of purchase orders, working and non-working evaluations, retailer and coupon deductions and pre-paid management. Position has direct responsibility for external creative, public relations, and media agency financial management.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the CA CPD and NA Flavor Solutions monthly reconciliation with finance, including on-time delivery of re-pace file, adjustments for any cuts or uncommitted funds and NA financial reporting inputs.
Lead NA monthly uncommitted reviews with internal stakeholders to capture spend change requirements. Support the translation of any spend changes to volume, in partnership with the Business Analytics Team.
Support for NA monthly replans to solve for new funding asks as well as pre-pack forecast with responsibility to track accuracy from volume.
Owns Ariba/PO/process for McCormick's CACPD and Flavor Solutions marketing spend; Responsibilities include PO entry and management, external vendor invoicing and payment management, vendor set up, payment term adherence for ~$20M in annual A&P spend. Also serves as the Ariba process expert and lead and trainer for all users in department in the new Program LEO system; Leads the adherence of SOW / PO / reporting integrity across the marketing business units, ensuring LEO reflects required payment terms, vendor descriptions, etc.
Owns relationship with McCormick's external agency finance departments; serves as a liaison working with McCormick's procurement teams and accounts payable teams to manage vendors, trouble shoot problems, and ensure payment term compliance; manages annual agency evaluation process with internal McCormick team
Responsible for the maintenance and integrity of the quarterly prepaid clean up process working cross functionally with finance

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree – Business Management, Marketing, Finance area of study
5 years of Marketing and/or Finance experience
Experience with vendor management and agency relationships desired
Personal and Team Leadership; Ability to navigate disparate data systems to drive to solutions; Ability to meet tight deadlines
Strong personal leadership, including attention to detail and accuracy
