Community Support Manager

Family Support Manager – Southwest Florida (Estero) Description:
Better Together is seeking a Family Support Manager to support families in crisis through the Better Families Program across Charlotte, Collier, DeSoto, Glades, Hendry, Lee, Manatee, and Sarasota Counties. This community-based role focuses on assessing family needs, matching families with volunteer host families, creating individualized support plans, and providing ongoing coaching and mentorship to help families achieve stability and reunification. The position requires extensive fieldwork, collaboration with volunteers and community partners, and participation in an on-call rotation. Candidates should be passionate about strengthening families and preventing children from entering foster care.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, Family Studies, or a related field preferred. Master's in Social Work (MSW) or equivalent experience working with vulnerable children and families is strongly preferred. Child Welfare Certification (Florida Certification Board) preferred. Experience supporting children and families in crisis, case management, coaching, or social services. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills. Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely with minimal supervision. Reliable personal vehicle, valid driver's license, vehicle registration, and auto insurance required. Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and participate in a monthly on-call rotation. Ability to lift 20–30 pounds and perform physical activities during home visits and community outreach. Proficiency with or willingness to learn Salesforce, Zapier, WordPress, and Basecamp.
