Community Support Manager

Family Support Manager - Central Florida Orange Description:
Better Together is seeking a compassionate and motivated Family Support Manager to support families in crisis through the Better Families Program across Central Florida. In this community-based role, you will assess family needs, connect children with approved volunteer host families when needed, develop individualized support plans, and provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to families and volunteers. The position requires extensive fieldwork, relationship building, and collaboration to help strengthen families and prevent children from entering foster care.
Qualifications:
Must reside in Orange County, Florida. Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, Family Studies, or a related field required; Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or equivalent experience preferred. Experience working with vulnerable children and families. Strong leadership, communication, organization, coaching, networking, and problem-solving skills. Passion for Better Together's mission of keeping families together and children out of foster care. Comfortable working independently in a remote, field-based environment. Valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, vehicle registration, and auto insurance required. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and a rotating on-call schedule. Child Welfare Certification (preferred). Experience with or ability to learn Salesforce, Basecamp, WordPress, and Zapier. Ability to lift 20–30 pounds and perform physical activities associated with home visits and community outreach.
