About the Role


The Company is seeking a Vice President of Brand Marketing and Retail Operations to provide strategic vision and leadership for high-impact, attractions, and events-based learning experiences. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing brand marketing, memberships, admissions, featured exhibitions, attractions, events, program sales, and customer service. This role requires a leader with excellent people management skills, business acumen, and a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach. The VP will work closely with the President and CEO to ensure that marketing and retail operations strategies align with the brand's mission and values, and will be accountable for a significant annual budget. Key responsibilities include leading the development and execution of brand strategies, optimizing retail environments, and fostering a culture of integrity, inclusion, and shared accountability.

Candidates for the Vice President position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline, with an MBA or advanced degree preferred. A minimum of 7 years' progressive leadership experience in integrated marketing and retail operations is required, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams. The role demands a leader with advanced knowledge of equity, diversity, inclusion, and social justice, and the ability to incorporate these principles into the organization's work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in brand positioning, story development, and omni-channel marketing, and experience in a non-profit or education environment is also preferred. The VP will be expected to lead a team in a dynamic, fast-paced setting, and to use performance data and market research to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
