About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Director of Medical Writing to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strong technical expertise in medical writing and for building and supervising the medical writing team. This role is pivotal in assessing medical writing needs across regulatory, clinical, and nonclinical groups, and in managing the day-to-day operations of the medical writing team, including both internal and external resources. The Senior Director will also be involved in critically reviewing documents for scientific content, clarity, accuracy, and consistency, as well as providing hands-on medical writing support for various clinical and regulatory documents.
Applicants for the Senior Director of Medical Writing position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years of medical writing experience, with a BA/BS degree in life sciences, and a Master's degree is preferred. The role requires the ability to assess and develop new processes for medical writing, as well as to provide training and professional development to subordinate staff. The Senior Director will be essential in meeting key project objectives, including the planning, evaluation, and management of vendors. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are a must, as is the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
