The Vice President of Experiential Marketing sits within the Client Organization in Citi’s Marketing and Franchise Development group. Their mission is to bring U.S. Consumer Cards products to life through powerful, engaging experiential creative, supporting Citi’s mission of enabling growth and progress.

This strategic professional leads experiential marketing strategy and execution for Citi’s full U.S. consumer credit card portfolio, including proprietary and co‑branded offerings. They partner with product, media, creative agencies, and cross‑functional teams to drive brand awareness, acquisition, and engagement, supporting Citi’s “full wallet” ambition. This individual champions differentiated experiential creative, ensuring Citi’s cards stand out competitively while maintaining brand cohesion. Strong communication and diplomacy are required to guide and influence stakeholders. Responsibilities include planning, budgeting, policy formulation, and ensuring quality and timely delivery of results.

Key Responsibilities

Develop creative solutions and approaches to events that meet marketing requirements of business while leveraging and maintaining the marketing, branding and financial goals of the firm.

Responsible for working with cross‑functional internal business constituents, external agencies and, at times, vendors to execute and deliver successful activation programs, inclusive of their respective marketing, branding and event attendee strategies.

Oversee all events/activation needs for assigned projects, including business case development, contract negotiations, cost analysis, internal approvals, marketing materials (including leadership decks), collateral, venue selection, catering, event registration systems, talent selection, etc.

Work with internal client contacts to develop event marketing project objectives and strategies, program content, logistics, and methods to evaluate overall event value and results to the business.

Manage customer experience, including acting as on‑site liaison and point‑of‑contact for key stakeholders, clients and executives on behalf of Experiential Marketing.

Oversee the development and review of all materials to be distributed to attendees and partners, collaborating closely with the Communications team on material creation by internal creative teams or external agencies.

Generate and deliver comprehensive business cases and recap reports.

Work with program managers to deliver projects on‑time and within budget, leveraging internal Citi financial systems to manage supplier/vendor payments as well as overall budget forecasting, optimization and reconciliation.

Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervising the activity of others and creating accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications

8-10 years of experience in Experiential Marketing, specifically premium experience in the dining event space as well as traditional experiences like pop‑ups, branded activation spaces, etc.

Must possess client relationship management skills with proven success in being “customer‑first” and results‑driven in a highly matrixed environment that requires a high degree of coordination and cross‑functional alignment.

Creative and innovative thinker who can bring thoughts to actions.

Ability to present in front of senior level executives.

Financial services experience a plus, but not required.

Excellent oral and written communications skills.

Education

Bachelor’s/University degree.

Salary Range: $129,840.00 - $194,760.00 per year.
