PHP Developer

Senior Web Developer

The Web Developer executes full stack development in order to provide support and develop features for custom web based applications.
Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:
Analyze, design and develop modern websites using Symfony, ReactJS and Vue
Supports PHP 7+, RabbitMQ, Redis, Elasticsearch, MongoDB and MySQL
Ensure compatibility with all major digital devices and browsers
Write clear, well-structured OOP and tested code
Produce internal/external documentation of application architecture and code
Analyze and resolve security issues with ICC applications and websites
Review code from other developers on relevant projects and provide comments and guidance
Review performance monitoring software and alerts managers to potential risks and issues
Participate in sprint-planning activities including standups, retros, and architecture meetings

Ability to establish positive working relationships with multiple disciplines of Information technology department and staff levels

Ability to identify and document business/system requirements

Technical Skills:
BS/BA degree in MIS, IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
4+ years of web development experience with an emphasis towards web applications or high profile websites
4+ years strong development experience in PHP, HTML, JavaScript, XML, XSLT
Knowledge of MySQL, familiarity with design and architecture of relational databases
Strong experience with version control systems like Git/SVN and structured deployment practices
Experience with PHP MVC Frameworks like Symfony is a plus
Knowledge of user interface/web usability and information architecture principles
3+ years systems analysis experience, including requirements gathering, functional design, and technical design
Experience with web services and 3rd party API integration
Responsive and mobile development experience
Working knowledge of web browser technology, features and functionality
Strong understanding of the security and performance requirements for high volume websites
Experience with Agile software methodology
