Our client is currently seeking a Web Accessibility Consultant

Accessibility & Technical Expertise
Accessibility standards

- Deep expertise in WCAG 2.1/2.2 A & AA, ARIA patterns, and assistive technologies (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack).
Front-end engineering

- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks such as React or Angular.
Accessibility testing

- Hands-on experience with tools like the Deque axe suite and automated testing pipelines.
AI & Tooling

AI-assisted development

- Familiarity with LLM-based engineering tools (e.g., Claude or similar) and their integration into development workflows.
Tool evaluation

- Ability to assess, implement, and optimize development and testing tools.
Data-driven recommendations

- Skilled at defining forward paths using measurable outcomes and insights.
Leadership & Consulting

Cross-functional influence

- Proven ability to guide engineering, product, and design partners in a matrixed environment.
Technical enablement

- Strong consulting, coaching, and training capabilities for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Communication excellence

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Data & Analytics

Data analysis

- Strong analytical and reporting skills using tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
Data-informed improvement

- Experience leveraging data to drive decisions and continuous improvement.
Engineering & Delivery

SDLC expertise

- Deep understanding of modern software development lifecycle practices.
Technical initiative leadership

- Experience leading or contributing to complex engineering programs.
Cloud platforms

- Knowledge of cloud environments (e.g., AWS) is a plus.
Qualifications

This role accelerates accessibility maturity across engineering organizations by defining and executing a modern accessibility tooling strategy (e.g., Deque, AI-assisted development), providing hands-on technical expertise, and embedding best practices throughout the SDLC. The position drives measurable reductions in accessibility defects through consulting, enablement, and continuous process improvement.
