Travel + Leisure Co. is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director, Public Relations to lead our enterprise-wide public relations and media engagement efforts. This role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive PR strategies that drive media coverage, amplify our compelling business story, enhance our corporate reputation, and drive visibility for our portfolio of travel brands.
Responsibilities

Public Relations Strategy

Develop and implement integrated PR strategies and cross-channel campaigns that align with business objectives and enhance corporate and brand reputation.
Oversee media relations efforts, proactively securing coverage across business, consumer, and trade media.
Serve as strategic partner to investor relations team to craft a compelling business narrative and deliver media opportunities to amplify the value proposition.
Partner with social team to tell the right stories through influencer marketing and ambassador programs.
Develop positive, proactive social community engagement infrastructure and programming.
Develop storytelling toolkits across brands.
Establish measurable KPIs for brand lift, earned impact, influencer ROI, and community growth.

Media Relations & Thought Leadership

Build and maintain strong relationships with key journalists, editors, and influencers.
Develop key messages, press releases, FAQs, media statements, and briefing materials to support media engagement.
Lead the management of the external speaker’s bureau, securing and preparing executives for media interviews, panels, industry events.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Communications, Public Relations, Integrated Marketing, or Journalism.
Experience managing financial communications for a publicly traded company and supporting investor relations functions.
Demonstrated success in developing and executing PR campaigns that drive meaningful media coverage and brand awareness.
Experience serving as a corporate spokesperson and training executives for media engagements.
Proven ability to manage external PR agencies and drive high-impact results.
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft compelling press materials and executive messaging.
15+ years of public relations and media relations experience, with a proven track record in hospitality, travel, or consumer sectors.
