Costume Coordinator/Designer

Reports to: Creative Directors
Do you love bringing characters to life through the costume? Stafford Opera Troupe is seeking a volunteer Costume Coordinator/Designer to oversee the visual look of our productions.
Working collaboratively with the Creative Directors, the coordinator helps develop the artistic vision for each season while coordinating the costume production.
Responsibilities include:
Developing costume concepts and color stories with the Creative Directors
Organizing costume inventory
Coordinating costume fittings (typically 1 day during the program duration)
Assigning projects to costume technician volunteers
Sourcing and/or developing costume construction plan
Maintaining costume inventory throughout program
Sewing costumes
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both creativity and organization. Basic sewing skills and pattern cutting are needed.
