AUGold is our complete end-to-end quote, bind, and policy issuance platform. The platform is designed for the exclusive use and benefit of our Coverholder relationships, delivering full end to end processing, quote and policy production and automatic bordereaux outputs.

The platform enables retail agents to submit risks to MGA’s, significantly reducing the administrative burdens associated with Lloyd’s binding authorities. It supports a range of classes underwritten by Atrium and is designed to help develop or assist clients in growing their own businesses. Territories covered include worldwide and the USA.

Role
We are looking for an experienced BD Lead to spearhead the marketing, promotion and product development. This is a great opportunity to work on a leading end-to-end quote, bind, and policy issuance platform.

Description
Business Development & Marketing

Generate, develop and convert new MGA and individual user leads, and manage customer relationships. Develop and expand business with existing MGA’s. Set and manage budgets for new and existing MGA’s and monitor to ensure targets are achieved. Apply effective sales techniques to increase the policy count on all profitable AUGold products.

Regular travel to visit client offices, attend conventions and conferences. Identify committees, media and publishing opportunities to promote AUGold.

Create and develop marketing assets, strategies and campaigns for our designated products and audiences.

Provide marketing ROI metrics and KPI’s to support the marketing direction and strategies. Communicate the value of the products and services to the user network.

Manage relationships with vendors including budget and logistics, tracking and follow up activities.

Conduct regular webinars and calls with the user network. Collect market Intel to report back to the AUGold network, ARMS and London teams. Encourage cross selling opportunities across the product suite and Atrium’s non-AUGold products.

Work closely with the Data Analyst to create insights and analyse data to help improve the profitability of the AUGold business, determine system changes/enhancements and drive profitable growth.

Liaison with/support to London Office

Work closely with London on business and product development plans.

Liaise with the London AUGold IT delivery team to raise change requests, policy and system fixes

Work with the ARMS/London claims teams to ensure decisions are supported with claims information.

Maintain accurate file documentation within Pipedrive.

Exception Underwriting – This part of the role to be performed as support to the AUGold Specialist team during periods where workloads are high or when there are absences in the team.

To authorize coverholder routine Exception Underwriting Change Requests (EUCRs) to standard policy cover, terms and premium rates in accordance with individual authority

To refer non-routine and complex EUCRs to senior AUGold specialists or underwriters in London and coordinate response to coverholders

Service the requests coming through the AUGold referral submission

To assist in setting up and running the AUGold Helpdesk. To provide guidance and support to coverholders on AUGold products, services and systems. To coordinate resolution of underwriting questions and systems issues

Skills required

Knowledge and experience of working with US insurance principals, practices, products and procedures

Understanding of the US Property & Casualty and Professional Liability insurance market

Knowledge of the standards and rules of the US regulatory bodies and those set out in the firm’s standards documents

Develop knowledge and proficiency with AUGold products (to be developed in the first three to six months in the role)

High level of Communication skills – able to communicate effectively face to face and by phone and via electronic media with coverholders, AUGold staff and other business contacts. Contribute to internal/external meetings.

High level of IT skills (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, web-based and other software packages and systems used within the business).
