Job Overview
We're looking for a social‑first storyteller who can bring our social media strategy to life by creating compelling, platform‑native content that connects with coaches, athletes, teams, and sports communities. This role involves capturing real moments in the field, developing creator and UGC content, producing engaging short‑form video, and uncovering authentic stories that strengthen our brand. The position is not limited to scheduling posts; it requires staying on top of emerging trends, understanding sports culture, and turning ideas into content quickly.
Responsibilities
Social‑First Campaign Development
Translate integrated marketing campaigns into platform‑native social content.
Contribute social‑first ideas during campaign planning to help shape platform‑native content.
Support channel‑specific content plans across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and emerging platforms.
Identify opportunities for additional social storytelling beyond campaign assets.
Content Creation
Concept, storyboard, shoot, and edit short‑form content from start to finish.
Capture authentic moments at customer events, tournaments, product launches, photo shoots, and internal events.
Create engaging Reels, TikToks, Stories, behind‑the‑scenes content, interviews, and documentary‑style storytelling.
Film with mobile devices while understanding lighting, framing, and audio.
Publish real‑time social content around live events and trending moments using mobile and desktop editing tools.
Creator & UGC Development
Source and coordinate authentic customer content from coaches, athletes, and schools.
Build relationships with creators, ambassadors, customers, and influencers.
Manage content requests and creative briefs with creator partners.
Scale a repeatable UGC program.
Coordinate content collection before, during, and after events.
Repurpose creator content across multiple marketing channels.
Trend Spotting & Culture
Stay immersed in sports culture, internet culture, and emerging social trends.
Identify new formats, creator trends, and platform features before they become mainstream.
Bring fresh ideas to the team every week.
Recommend opportunities to capitalize on timely sports moments and cultural conversations.
Community Storytelling
Find compelling stories across athletes, coaches, schools, colleges, clubs, partners, and employees.
Create content that showcases real people and authentic experiences.
Help build deeper emotional connections with our audiences through storytelling.
Performance & Optimization
Monitor content performance and engagement.
Use platform insights to continuously improve creative.
Test new formats, hooks, editing styles, and posting strategies.
Help identify what resonates with different audiences.
Assist in organizing content libraries and footage for future campaigns.
Qualifications & Experience
2–5 years of experience creating social media content for a brand, agency, media company, or creator.
Demonstrated experience creating content from concept through publishing.
Strong portfolio showcasing short‑form video and social storytelling.
Excellent mobile photography and videography skills.
Proficiency with CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar editing platforms.
Experience creating content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and emerging platforms.
Strong copywriting skills for captions and social storytelling.
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
Willingness to travel for events, customer visits, and content shoots.
Education & Additional Experience
Experience helping build or grow a social media brand from the ground up.
Experience creating UGC or influencer campaigns.
Passion for sports and grassroots athletics.
Strong understanding of social media analytics and optimization.
Experience working with athletes, coaches, teams, or sports organizations.
Comfort being both behind and in front of the camera when needed.
