A freight forwarder needs a station manager to run its Los Angeles gateway, covering the LAX air operation and the Long Beach ocean side. You'd own the station end to end: the operation, the team, the service and the cost base.
The role
Run the LA station across air and ocean, import and export, from gateway to delivery.
Lead the operations, warehouse and customer service teams.
Own the station P&L and hit productivity, service and margin targets.
Manage airline, carrier, trucker and agent relationships across the LA basin.
Keep the station compliant on TSA, dangerous goods and customs, and handle key-account escalations.
You'll fit if
You have at least 8 years in freight forwarding, including running a station, branch or gateway.
You know LAX air gateway operations and LA / Long Beach ocean well.
You have led operations, warehouse and customer service teams.
You are strong on service, cost and compliance (TSA, DG, customs).
Bilingual English and Spanish would help in this market.
On offer
$150,000 to $160,000 base, plus bonus.
