Position: Director of Capital RaisingCompensation: Salary (150K-250K)+Performanced-based commissionLocation: Los Angeles - open to remote applicantsPosition OverviewWe are seeking a strategic, results-driven Director of Capital Raising to lead capital sourcing and investor relations across our RIA, wealth management, and real estate platforms. The Director will design and execute fundraising programs for equity capital and construction loans, build and manage relationships with institutional and high-net-worth investors, and partner with deal teams to structure and close transactions that support firm growth. This role requires deep industry knowledge, proven fundraising success, strong compliance awareness, and the ability to translate complex investment opportunities into compelling value propositions.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement a comprehensive capital-raising strategy across RIA, wealth management, real estate, and construction financing, aligned with corporate goals.Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with institutional investors, family offices, high-net-worth individuals, placement agents, and strategic partners.Lead the origination and negotiation of equity capital commitments, joint ventures, and construction loan facilities; structure terms and coordinate legal and financial diligence.Create compelling investor materials including pitch books, offering memoranda, financial models, and presentations tailored to different investor types.Collaborate with portfolio managers, deal teams, and operations to ensure accurate deal documentation, timely closings, and seamless handoffs to capital deployment teams.Manage the investor due diligence process, respond to investor requests, and coordinate third-party providers (legal, tax, accounting) to support transactions.Ensure fundraising activities comply with relevant securities regulations, RIA rules, and internal governance policies; work with compliance and legal teams to maintain best practices.Track fundraising KPIs, pipeline activity, market trends, and competitor activity; provide regular reports to senior leadership and refine strategy based on performance.Build and mentor a high-performing capital raising team; set objectives, coach staff, and establish processes to scale fundraising capabilities.Represent the firm at industry conferences, investor meetings, and networking events to enhance the firms profile and source new capital channels.Qualifications5+ years of progressive capital raising, investor relations, or investment origination experience, ideally within RIA, wealth management, or real estate investment platforms.Proven track record closing institutional and HNW equity commitments and construction loan financings; demonstrated success raising multi-million to multi-hundred-million dollar capital pools.Deep familiarity with RIA regulatory framework, securities laws, and compliance practices; experience working with legal and compliance teams on fundraising documentation.Strong knowledge of real estate finance, construction loan structures, joint venture equity, and capital stack dynamics.Established network of institutional investors, family offices, private wealth advisors, and placement agents.Excellent financial modeling, underwriting, and presentation skills; comfort explaining complex structures to non-technical investors.Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills with a client-first mindset.Bachelors degree required; advanced degree (MBA, JD) or relevant certifications (CFA, CAIA) preferred.Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage, recruit, and develop a team; high attention to detail and strong project management skills.Willingness to travel for investor meetings and industry events as required.BenefitsBase Salary: 150-250K DOEPerformanced-based commission structureMedical, Dental, VisionRetirement plan: 401KPTOLife InsuranceHSA
