About Arborvitae
Arborvitae is building a modern platform for managing homeownership, renovation, and construction.
We bring projects, budgets, documents, home information, and collaboration into one thoughtful experience—helping homeowners stay organized, make better decisions, and care for their homes with greater confidence.
Arborvitae also helps homeowners work more effectively with the architects, designers, contractors, real estate professionals, and home-service providers involved in their homes.
As we welcome our first members, we are focused on creating a product and experience that feel polished, useful, and personal. We are looking for someone who can help bring that experience to life through trusted content, thoughtful onboarding, and high-touch engagement.
The Role
We’re hiring a

Content Marketing & Member Experience Associate

to help shape how people discover, understand, and experience Arborvitae.
You’ll create useful homeowner content, support early members, improve onboarding, and contribute to our website, launch communications, events, and brand storytelling. You’ll also help build thoughtful relationships with the professionals and firms that serve homeowners.
This role is ideal for someone who understands that early-stage marketing is not only about reach; it is also about earning trust, listening closely, and turning what we learn into better content and experiences.
This is not primarily a social media, performance marketing, or sales role. We’re looking for a strong writer and highly organized generalist who can combine content, research, personalized engagement, industry fluency, and good judgment.
What You’ll Do
Content Marketing & Education
Create clear, useful content for our website, product, and member communications
Develop guides, checklists, templates, articles, and educational resources
Make complex homeownership and renovation topics feel practical and approachable
Write and refine website copy, onboarding materials, newsletters, invitations, and launch communications
Help establish an editorial voice that feels informed, thoughtful, and accessible
Turn recurring member questions into content that can help a broader audience
Website & Product Readiness
Help prepare and maintain Arborvitae’s public website
Create templates and examples for projects, budgets, maintenance, documentation, and home organization
Build realistic demo homes, sample projects, and example data inside the platform
Improve the product through clearer language, guidance, and examples
Identify where better content or onboarding could make Arborvitae easier to understand and use
Member Experience & Onboarding
Support onboarding sessions and help early members get established in the platform
Create personalized follow-ups, resource lists, guides, and other member touchpoints
Answer questions, gather feedback, and identify where members need additional support
Help deliver a premium, service-backed experience—not simply access to software
Translate what we learn from members into stronger content, communications, and product experiences
Professional Relationships & Research
Communicate comfortably with architects, designers, real estate professionals, property managers, contractors, and home-service providers
Organize useful information and resources from across the residential ecosystem
Support communications and follow-up with professional guests, contributors, and potential partners
Research unfamiliar topics and translate complex material into clear, approachable content
Evaluate sources carefully and maintain a high standard of accuracy
Recognize when members should be directed to a qualified professional or authoritative resource
Events, Brand & Content Production
Support Arborvitae’s launch event and future educational and social programming
Assist with event concepts, invitations, guest experience, communications, logistics, and follow-up
Help coordinate relevant guests, speakers, contributors, businesses, and professional participants
Contribute to launch communications, selective social content, and brand storytelling
Support video and photography projects by helping shape stories, organize participants, gather assets, and coordinate external creative partners. Photography, video production, and editing skills are not required, though familiarity with creative production is helpful.
Plan how events can generate useful content for the website, newsletters, social channels, and future campaigns
What We’re Looking For
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
Strong editorial judgment, good taste, and close attention to detail
Ability to make complex topics clear, useful, and approachable
Strong organizational and project-management skills, with the resourcefulness to work independently
Comfort working across content, research, onboarding, events, and relationship-building
Ability to communicate warmly and credibly with homeowners and residential professionals
An understanding of high-touch marketing built through useful content, personalized outreach, thoughtful follow-up, and direct relationships
Comfort using AI tools to accelerate research and content creation while maintaining accuracy and judgment
Especially Relevant, but Not Required
Experience in one or more of these areas would be particularly helpful:
Property, Real Estate, or high-touch residential management
Architecture, interior design, residential construction, renovation, or home services
Residential real estate, brokerage, development, or client service
Premium hospitality, membership organizations, or luxury consumer brands
Content marketing, editorial, customer education, or lifecycle communications
Events, partnerships, experiential marketing, or creative production
A traditional content-marketing background is not required. Someone who has supported homeowners or high-end properties—or worked in architecture, design, real estate, construction, or home services—could also be a strong fit.
Role Structure & Growth
This role may be structured as part-time or full-time depending on experience, availability, and fit. Compensation will be determined based on experience, scope, and expected time commitment.
The role is hybrid, with flexible remote work and periodic in-person collaboration in Bryn Mawr for onboarding, content production, and events. As Arborvitae grows, the position may expand across content, brand, partnerships, programming, or member experience.
