Esterbrook is looking for a Brand & Social Marketing Lead to help shape how our brand shows up in the world.
This role is for someone who understands that great marketing is not just about scheduling posts. It is about building energy, identifying the right creators and communities, producing strong content, and helping a brand feel relevant, desirable, and connected.
We are a heritage writing brand with deep roots, but we are also building something modern. Our world includes pens, stationery, journaling, design, creativity, collaboration, and community. We are looking for someone who is excited by that world and knows how to translate it into compelling content, creator relationships, and a stronger digital presence.
This role requires someone with real experience as a content creator. That is essential. The right person understands how to concept, capture, edit, and shape content that feels natural to social platforms and strong enough to support both brand storytelling and growth.
Because we are based on Long Island, living in New York is required. Some in-house routine is necessary. This person needs to be close enough to work with products, launches, samples, planning, and team collaboration in a hands‑on way.
The Role
You will help lead how Esterbrook appears across social media, creator partnerships, launches, collaborations, and digital storytelling.
You will track trends, creators, and visual shifts in the market and help interpret them in a way that feels right for Esterbrook. You will help the brand stay current without becoming trend‑chasing. You will understand what has energy, what feels authentic, and what can be shaped into something meaningful for our audience.
You will work closely with leadership and the marketing team to build social campaigns, launch content, creator partnerships, and a stronger overall image space for the brand.
Because we are a small and growing company, this role is strategic and hands‑on. The right person will think creatively, move quickly, and take ownership.

Develop content ideas and campaign directions tied to product launches, partnerships, seasonal moments, and community energy.

Strong visually, with a sharp eye for design, tone, storytelling, and presentation
Comfortable shooting, editing, and packaging content yourself
Excited by product, creativity, community, and lifestyle‑driven brands
Naturally curious, proactive, and capable of bringing strong ideas forward
Comfortable working in a small team where priorities evolve and speed matters
Interested in building something, not just maintaining something
Requirements
Experience in brand, social, creator, and digital marketing
Strong experience as a content creator
Strong editing skills in short‑form video and social‑first content

Experience working with creators, influencers, or UGC partnerships
Strong understanding of how content, brand, and conversion work together
Must live in New York
Must be available for regular in‑person work tied to product, launches, planning, and team collaboration on Long Island
What Matters in This Role
We are looking for someone who understands that social media is not just a communication tool. It is one of the main places where brand value is built.
how a product should look and feel online
how to make content that feels native instead of forced
which creators make sense for a brand like Esterbrook
how to build momentum around launches and collaborations
how to create a digital presence that feels warm, elevated, and relevant
This person will use research, observation, and instinct to identify what is rising, what feels tired, what has energy, and what can be translated into Esterbrook’s world with taste and restraint.
Examples of Early Projects
Build out a roster of creators to support an upcoming Esterbrook launch
Develop a stronger visual and storytelling framework for our social presence
Produce and edit content around a limited edition collection
Shape a creator campaign tied to a special product or collaboration
Support a show or event with pre‑event storytelling, creator outreach, and onsite content planning
Why This Role Matters
Esterbrook has a strong story, a passionate community, and growing opportunities in product, partnerships, and content. We believe there is room to do much more in the social and creator space, and we are looking for the right person to help us build that next chapter.
This is a chance to help shape the image, momentum, and creative direction of a brand that values heritage, design, community, and meaningful collaboration.
