New Musicals Lab | Composers, Lyricists, Librettists, and Musical Theater Writing Teams
Let’s develop your musical! Us at Amoeba got together and created the New Musicals Lab. It’s an intensive developmental program that will guide two new original musical drafts from completed draft to polished showcase presentation. Through cold reads, professional consulting sessions, peer collaboration, and a final public showcase, writers will have the opportunity to hear their work performed, and receive meaningful feedback from artists and audiences.

Our New Musicals Lab is designed as a creative space where emerging musical theater writers can collaborate with working industry professionals to strengthen their material and prepare it for presentation.

We are seeking composers, lyricists, librettists, and collaborative writing teams with completed drafts and recorded demos of an original musical that is ready to get to the next level over the course of 2 months.
