Position Summary

The National Sales Manager (NSM) is a transcontinental commercial leader, in charge of a US team of Technical Account Managers (TAMs), Technical Account Managers, Inside Sales members, Outside Sales members, and Business Development Managers. The NSM has a primary responsibility to develop, manage and grow top line revenue, volume and margin improvement across all product lines. The NSM will need to build executive reports to share with leadership, suppliers and peers monthly.
Essential Job Functions

Owns regional sales performance and execution in alignment with company growth objectives. Oversees segment pipeline development, including key opportunity management, new pipeline development and ensuring team data cleanliness. Ensures proper communication and coordination between Technical Account Managers and principal suppliers. Leads, coaches, and develops a team of Technical Account Managers to consistently achieve individual and regional sales goals, including travelling in the assigned region with team members on joint calls, ensuring pre-call planning and overseeing development opportunities for growth. Attends and supports supplier Quarterly Business Reviews as needed to ensure market information is relayed to our suppliers. Establishes territory-level priorities, sales plans, and focus areas to drive base business growth and new opportunities. Partners with various internal stakeholders to support new product introductions, evaluations, and market adoption. Oversees accurate forecasting, budgeting, and pipeline management using Salesforce and related tools. Serves as escalation point for complex customer issues, ensuring timely resolution and alignment with company standards. Communicates market intelligence, opportunity insights, and account-level changes to sales leadership. Evaluates team and individual performance and drives continuous improvement through coaching and feedback.
Qualifications

Education BS; Business Management, Chemistry, Physical Sciences or Material Sciences. Master's degree is not mandatory, but preferred.
Experience

Minimum 5 Years of management experience or similar role Business to Business (B2B) commercial experience Backgrounds in chemical distribution, supplier production, or similar experience.
