Position Overview Part‑time Promotions Assistant, Studio Board Operator, On‑Air Talent supporting the cluster’s Promotions and Programming management. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter, highly organized, reliable, and flexible, able to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Responsibilities include video capture and editing, still photography, social media presence, station website and app updates, listener customer service, prize fulfillment, community interaction, on‑air hosting, audio production, and traffic reports.
Key Responsibilities Strong social media skills with platforms like Facebook, X, TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram
Basic video capturing and editing skills
Facilitate prize fulfillment with station contest winners, contacting listeners via email and phone daily
Reliability with a flexible schedule, available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Update our six radio station websites and apps; WordPress skills highly desirable
Clean driving record and ability to drive station vans and vehicles
Hosting, announcing, or mixing during an on‑air shift
Collect and report short‑duration traffic reports
Ideally able to lift up to 50 pounds
Run the control board in a radio station studio broadcasting live shows, sports, and pre‑recorded programs
Play all commercials as scheduled
Monitor and rebroadcast required EAS alerts, weather warnings, Amber alerts, and breaking news
Maintain technical quality and accuracy of incoming and outgoing on‑air programming
Qualifications Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Express, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) preferred, but not required
WordPress proficiency preferred, but not required
Experience with automation and audio editing programs such as Op‑X, AudioVault, Wide Orbit, ENCO, Reaper, Sound Forge, Nuendo, Audiition, or similar
Familiarity with audio mixers and remote monitoring systems for radio transmissions
Flexibility in scheduling required; many hours may be in evenings, weekends, and holidays
Previous on‑air, mix DJ, and/or board operation experience preferred, but not required
Creative audio production skills preferred, but not required
Pay Range USD $13.00 – USD $15.00 per hour.
