Help Believe in Me turn complex ideas and authentic stories into clear, persuasive content that motivates people to volunteer, donate, partner, and advocate for underserved youth.

We are seeking a volunteer Copywriter to create and refine audience-centered messaging for Believe in Me, iLevelUP, Cougs 4 Kids, scholarships, and community partnerships. You will collaborate remotely with marketing, program, fundraising, design, video, and social-media volunteers.

Responsibilities

Write clear copy for websites, landing pages, email, social media, ads, brochures, presentations, and volunteer campaigns

Develop headlines, calls to action, short-form stories, and campaign messaging

Adapt tone and length for donors, volunteers, educators, families, alumni, partners, and young people

Interview or work from approved source material to create accurate mission stories

Edit and proofread for clarity, accessibility, grammar, consistency, and brand voice

Apply SEO, search-intent, and answer-focused content practices without keyword stuffing

Protect privacy, dignity, and approved terminology when describing youth and communities

Incorporate feedback and meet agreed deadlines

Qualifications

Strong portfolio or demonstrated experience in copywriting, communications, journalism, marketing, or nonprofit storytelling

Excellent grammar, editing, research, and audience-awareness skills

Ability to write concise, inclusive, action-oriented content

Reliable collaboration and responsiveness in a remote environment

Experience with SEO, email marketing, fundraising, education, or youth programs is helpful

This remote, recurring opportunity is flexible and generally requires up to 10 hours per month. Volunteers may participate from anywhere. Assignments are matched to current campaigns and your interests.
