This new hire will work in McCormick’s Global Marketing Division, located in Hunt Valley, MD . The Associate Media Manager will report to a Senior Marketing Manager.

POSITION OVERVIEW The Associate Media Manager will be primarily responsible for end-to-end media planning from strategy development through execution for North American communications. This individual will work with McCormick's media agency to develop plans with the optimal mix of tactics across vehicles (TV, Print, Search, Social, etc.) that deliver on the business objectives, reach the consumer target, drive return on investment, and deliver insights back to the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES Lead end-to-end media planning from strategy through execution for several large and complex North American campaigns
Manage and communicate the impact of media decisions on the P&L
Provide strategic and tactical coordination to execute media plans with internal and external agency teams
Responsible for monthly and ad hoc budget, forecast, and financial reporting, a key input to the organization’s monthly and quarterly reporting processes
Improve the delivery of McCormick’s media buys and drive optimized campaign activations through In-Flight Optimization of media spend and real-time insights
Lead the Creative Asset Planning process, ensuring creative partners are aware of all deadlines and necessary assets needed to successfully execute campaigns
Recommend and deliver presentations to business partners, agency teams, and senior leadership
Exercise discretion regarding strategic recommendations, data and sources, analytic conclusions, and financial recommendations
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, or related field
Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated relevant skills and results in consumer-packaged goods marketing or closely related field
Foundational understanding of the industry sector and competitive landscape
Expertise in business and brand planning, market research, consumer communications, finance, and promotional activities
Strong experience leading projects and cross functional teams, including proven ability to manage multiple projects
Sound understanding of principles and practices in Marketing and a basic knowledge in other functional areas including Finance, Procurement, and Sales
Developed interpersonal, communication, and diplomacy skills required to guide, influence, and convince others, both internal and external
Strong analytical skills and evaluative judgment based on the analysis of factual and qualitative information in complicated or novel situations
Strong strategic thinking, leadership, communication and teamwork skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS MBA preferred
