The Marketing & Social Media Coordinator supports the Humane Society of Summit County's marketing, brand, and digital engagement efforts. This position coordinates social media content, marketing campaigns, and community outreach initiatives while collaborating with departments across the organization to increase awareness, support fundraising efforts, and promote adoptions.
Job Duties
Assist in developing and implementing marketing and communications strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Coordinate social media strategy, content creation, engagement, and performance tracking across platforms.
Create compelling content (written, photo, and video) to support adoptions, fundraising campaigns, programs, and events.
Coordinate paid digital advertising campaigns across platforms such as Meta and Google.
Assist with website content and email communications in coordination with external vendors.
Coordinate production of print communications and marketing materials, including collateral, signage, and event materials, ensuring brand consistency.
Support development of a cohesive brand presence within the shelter through signage, wayfinding, and visual storytelling.
Partner with the Development team to support fundraising initiatives through marketing strategy, storytelling, and campaign execution.
Collaborate with staff across departments to identify stories and promote organizational priorities.
Assist with transitioning marketing services from external vendors to internal operations and coordinate vendor relationships as needed.
Use analytics and performance metrics to evaluate effectiveness and guide decision-making.
Position Requirements
Minimum Experience:
Three or more years of marketing, communications, or digital media experience. Demonstrated experience managing social media platforms and content strategy. Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to use data and analytics to inform decisions. Excellent organizational and project management skills. Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
Preferred Experience
Nonprofit or animal welfare experience
Photography or video skills (professional or mobile)
Graphic design experience (Canva, Adobe, or similar)
Experience working with external vendors
Website content management experience
