KOTA/KEVN is looking for a newsroom leader with solid news judgment who can juggle multiple tasks and adjust to a constantly changing environment. The ideal candidate must be calm in the chaos while evaluating resources, making good decisions, and communicating clearly and effectively under a deadline.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Anchor assigned newscasts
Report and MMJ in the field, pitching and executing enterprise stories
Find creative, engaging, and visually compelling ways to present news
Report Live in the Field, as needed
Contribute content across all KOTA digital platforms
Assist in producing and appearing on KOTA streaming content, including live coverage, breaking news updates, and digital-first shows
Qualifications/Requirements include:
Bachelor's degree in journalism, Communications, or related field
Videography and non-linear editing experience
Ability to write, shoot, and edit attention-grabbing news content
Excellent on-air presentation and communication skills
Familiarity with newsroom software, including ENPS and Edius, is a plus
A demo reel of your best work is required
