Delivering global daily short-form news content to an audience of over 19 million followers on TikTok and more than 1 million subscribers on YouTube. The brand is built around fast, engaging coverage of the day's biggest stories, combined with a growing slate of longer-form documentary and travel content.
The Role:
We are seeking a short-form digital content editor to join our team, capable of matching our existing content style and able to hit the ground running. Scripts and supporting visual references will be provided for each video however you will be expected to source and package additional content that adds to accurately shaping the piece. The successful candidate will be responsible for transforming this material into polished, engaging content through strong pacing, compelling visual hooks, relevant cultural context, and visuals that accurately support the story.
Location & Hours: Remote, 5 days a week - with flexibility for breaking news.
Responsibilities:
- Edit 2–3 short-form videos daily, with fast turnaround times (hours)
- Source accurate, fact-checked visuals to support each story, with editorial standards required for news content
- Develop provided scripts and reference material into finished, engaging edits, incorporating cultural/ trend references where appropriate
- Maintain output during high-volume news periods
- Edit mini documentary-style short-form pieces as needed
Working pace:
Workload varies with the news cycle. Quieter periods occur during slower news weeks and travel periods, while busier periods require rapid, high-volume output across the team. Candidates should be comfortable operating in a variable, fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- A portfolio demonstrating short-form editing experience specifically within the news/information niche
- A demonstrated ability to produce high-quality edits under tight deadlines
- Strong editorial instincts, including pacing, hooks, and audience retention
- Sound judgment in sourcing accurate, fact-checked visual material
- Ability to work independently - this is a remote position
