Blender Specialist - Smackover, AR

Job Description

SUMMARY
This is the experienced blending position in the Blend Department in the Smackover Packaging Plant. This person can operate independently and can do blends directly from the blend sheet as directed for the Asst Plant Manager - Blending.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Read blend sheets and understand the location and transfer of raw materials and can work individually under the supervision of the Asst Plant Manager - Blending.
Gather samples of blends and raw material tanks for the lab to analyze
Take accurate tank gauges every morning for the Scheduler to communicate to Plant Manager
Transfer raw materials accurately and safely to blend tanks
Follow all Martin Material Transfer Rules with no exceptions
Follow all Martin Behaviors to Achieve Operations Excellence with no exceptions
Report spills as soon as they occur
Move drum raw materials to and from Warehouse as needed
Forklift certified
Can perform basic adjustments and maintenance to pumps and other equipment as needed.

Job Requirements

Education/Experience
Can do all of the required skills of a A level blender (3-5 years of experience) and is proficient at completing blends, handles rundowns, can lead a shift, interprets BOM's, can use BlendPro software, all without constant supervision or direction. Has a working knowledge of lubricant fundamentals, additives, and base oils. Job Pay $26.00 - $32.00
