General Statement of Duties
The Assistant Director of Marketing serves as Intercambio's strategic marketing leader, partnering across Programs, Product Sales & National Network (PSNN), Development, Operations, Executive Leadership, and external contractors to strengthen the organization's brand and support growth. This role combines strategy and execution, leading integrated marketing initiatives that increase awareness, enrollment, customer engagement, fundraising visibility, volunteer recruitment, and earned revenue.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead and steward Intercambio's organization-wide brand, messaging, and visual identity. Create compelling stories featuring learners, volunteers, customers, donors, partners, and staff. Train staff on brand standards and ensure consistency across all communications.
Growth Marketing & Audience Engagement
Develop integrated campaigns supporting Programs, PSNN, Development, membership, fundraising, conferences, volunteer recruitment, and product launches.
Strengthen audience funnels from awareness ? engagement ? inquiry ? enrollment/ purchase ? retention.
Expand awareness among learners, customers, volunteers, donors, and partners.
Utilize AI, SEO, email marketing, CRM, analytics, social media, video, blogs, and emerging digital platforms to improve measurable outcomes.
Partnerships & Thought Leadership
Increase Intercambio's visibility through fundraising event(s), conferences, webinars, strategic partnerships, speaking engagements, public relations, and thought leadership.
Ensure conferences and partnerships create meaningful engagement, stronger relationships, and customer growth.
Marketing Operations & Analytics
Manage Salesforce, Campaign Monitor, WordPress, Canva, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, AI-enabled tools, dashboards, marketing calendars, workflows, and reporting.
Monitor campaign performance, referral pathways, audience growth, conversion rates, and ROI to continuously improve strategy.
Qualifications
Required
Passion for mission-driven work.
5-7 years proven experience performing key functions.
Demonstrated success developing integrated marketing strategies.
Strong experience in digital marketing, analytics, CRM systems, project management, content strategy, and storytelling.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred
Nonprofit marketing experience.
Experience supporting sales, fundraising, enrollment, customer growth.
Experience with Salesforce, Campaign Monitor, WordPress, Canva, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and AI tools.

Intercambio has a formal, market-based compensation structure. Candidates who possess the required qualifications usually start in the middle of the advertised salary range.
