Company Description

theroboticscompany.com is an AI robotics startup building the core infrastructure for robot deployment. Backed by industry titans including Dr. Marc Pollefeys, the founders of HuggingFace and Android, and operators from OpenAI and Anthropic, the company achieved $1m in revenue within its first six months of operation.
Job Description

As a Senior Researcher at theroboticscompany.com, you will develop the next generation of AI-powered 3D reconstruction systems. You will bridge foundational research and production, turning visual inputs like point clouds and video into actionable representations. Your work in dynamic scene reconstruction and spatial understanding will directly power global robot deployments.
Location

San Francisco, USA or Zurich, Switzerland
Why this role is remarkable

Join a rocket-ship trajectory where the company scaled from $0 to $1M in revenue in just six months of operation.
Work alongside an elite team of investors and advisors including Dr. Marc Pollefeys and the founders of HuggingFace and Google Maps.
Solve "day one" problems in 3D perception, defining the stack for dynamic scene reconstruction and agentic workflows at the edge.
What You Will Do

Develop robust algorithms for reconstructing and understanding dynamic 3D scenes from video, point clouds, and meshes.
Build high-accuracy 6DoF object pose estimation and placement methods to enable robots to interact with the physical world.
Design agentic reconstruction workflows that can autonomously plan, execute, and evaluate multi-step visual perception tasks.
The ideal candidate

Deep expertise in computer vision, robotics perception, or 3D machine learning with a focus on multi-view geometry and neural rendering.
Strong practical coding ability with experience carrying novel algorithms through rigorous evaluation and into end-to-end research prototypes.
Proven technical judgment to navigate the trade-offs between classical geometry, learned models, and hybrid AI approaches for spatial understanding.
