About the Role
We are seeking a reliable Tax Professional to join our growing tax practice. This role focuses on preparing individual tax returns and supporting the overall workflow during tax season and throughout the year. It is ideal for someone with solid 1040 experience who wants a stable, well‐structured role without the advanced technical responsibilities of a senior preparer.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare individual tax returns (Form 1040) including W‐2 income, dependents, credits, itemized deductions, and basic investments
· Prepare moderately complex 1040s (small Schedule C, single rental Schedule E, simple K‐1s)
· Assist with basic business returns (1120‐S, 1065) under supervision
· Gather, organize, and verify client tax documents
· Communicate with clients regarding missing information and basic tax questions
· Maintain accurate notes and documentation in tax software
· Support intake, follow‐ups, and client communication during tax season
· Collaborate with administrative staff to ensure smooth client experience
Qualifications
· 2–4 years of professional tax preparation experience preferred
· Strong working knowledge of individual tax law
· Comfortable preparing standard and moderately complex 1040s
· Experience with ProSeries and Taxdome or similar software a plus
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Good communication and client‐service skills
· Ability to work independently and meet deadlines during tax season
