Graphic Designer Position

The New York Climate Exchange seeks a graphic designer to assist the Capital Project and Communications teams in designing a 30–40-page prospectus, or book, that will help external audiences understand and increase their engagement with the future of The Exchange.
Key deliverables include:
Identifying, coordinating, and reviewing visual assets (photography, renderings, maps, illustrations) that support The Exchange's narrative
Designing layouts that strengthen and clarify The Exchange's narrative
Working with the Communications Director and editorial strategist to select and integrate visuals that illustrate The Exchange's narrative
Required skills:
Project coordination across multiple contributors
Editorial design and layout expertise
Proficiency in Adobe InDesign (and broader Creative Suite)
Time management
Able to collaborate across The Exchange, partner organizations, and other relevant institutions
Recognizes the value of diverse perspectives and lived experiences and applies a critical lens to systemic sources of bias and discrimination
Applies critical thinking and seeks input and experience from others
Commits to a decision and acts once it has been reached
Schedule of deliverables:
Weeks 1-2: Initial layout/design concept
Weeks 3–4: Apply edits and complete full design
Weeks 5–6: Final design edit and print-ready optimization
Contract duration 6-8 weeks
