Make your move to B&H today!The Web Development team creates the scripting language behind B&H's web applications and ensures their compatibility with internal back-end servers, firewall, and software systems. Any changes or modifications are drafted in conjunction with relevant parties to plan and determine code capabilities for purposed design change as well as establish the code's functionality with the existing e-commerce web technology systems.The Web Developer Team Lead creates advanced to highly complex code structures using Java technologies and SQL Query languages. Possessing an expert knowledge of multiple web programming languages and object oriented design, the incumbent will understand how to create and manipulate the architectural framework of code design according to back-end server and software requirements. The incumbent will primarily be responsible for long term projects typically involving 2-6+ months from planning to production and provide direction to the projects integral design encompassing long-term improvement expectations.Assignments given will be of high business importance and require stringent completion. Typically, assignments will involve and require development manipulation across multiple internal web systems. Tests will be conducted in different stages to ensure the appropriate operation of code for launch in production stage.Essential Responsibilities:Programs and creates code for website using Java technologies and SQL Query languagesReceive advanced and high complex web development requests and track document progress into JiraEstablish project requirements based on individual need for accurate and efficient project resolutionEstablish development framework for accurate back-end server integrationDocument any changes in project throughout any stages of development life-cycleImplement changes using appropriate code scripts following department protocol standardsMonitor code structure at all levels of development and testing to identify need for repair as neededCollaborate with all parties to determine need for code or development changesCoordinate high integration projects with appropriate departments outside of web developmentEnsure assignment completion in a timely mannerAdditional Responsibilities:May or may not have people report directly to themMay or may not be directly responsible for production deploymentsAdapt to new and evolving technologies for efficient web development integrationAs assigned by ManagerPreferred Education, Experience and Licenses:Required 3-5 years writing core Java, JDK, SQL, JSTL, and JSPHigh utilization of J2EE web technologies or Java Enterprise SoftwareHigh implementation of Object Oriented designExperience with the UNIX operating systemImplementation of UNIX and Perl Shell scriptingSpecific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:High level understanding of dynamic websitesKnowledge of B&H domain and technical infrastructureKnowledge of capabilities and limitations of Java technologiesHigh comprehension of HTML, CSS, and Ajax Java propertiesArticulate communicator, and professional phone demeanorResourceful, efficient research skills, detail-oriented, and quick and analytical thinkerKnowledge of B&H policies and proceduresWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
