Job Description
The Translational Health Research Center (THRC) at Texas StateUniversity facilitates applied research and events throughpartnerships with TXST faculty, staff, and students, businesses,community members, nonprofits, and government organizations. THRC conducts and shares health and resilience research through ourExtension of Community Health Outreach (ECHO) hub, podcasts, andother broadcast programming as part of our THRC Research Network.The Research Broadcast Producer & Director will be responsiblefor developing, leading, hosting, and postproduction activities forTHRC Research Network programming, including writing scripts andmanaging logistics for research-oriented productions, frominception through completion. This position will collaborate withTXST faculty and staff, community and business leaders, faculty andstaff at other universities, students, and editors to developprograms aligned with THRC's mission. It requires a creative,detail-oriented multimedia professional with experience working ata university research center that partners directly with communityand public audiences on research and programming.

Job Duties

Plan, direct, and produce THRC Research Network's ECHO,podcasts, and broadcast programming to share TXST research withcommunity members, academics, and the public.

Collaborate with THRC Faculty Fellows, Principal Investigators,and staff to identify and engage subject matter experts, communityand business leaders, and academic audiences as ECHO sessionparticipants.

Lead all aspects of THRC virtual events and podcasts, to ensureprogramming topics, and speakers represent the mission and goals ofTXST: create schedules, book speakers, manage scripts, hostprograms, and manage production and dissemination activities toshare health and resilience research findings with the public andelevate TXST's research profile through the THRC ResearchNetwork.

Manage evaluation and reporting of THRC Research Networkprogramming and participant organizations, use outcome data forcontinuous improvement of programming to attract and educateparticipants for THRC programs.

Cultivate a professional network of media producers, directors,and editors, PR professionals, ECHO hub and podcast producers atother institutions, community and business leaders, and others whocan help ensure the quality and success of THRC Research Networkprograms.
