Creative and detail-oriented, the full-time remote Senior Book Designer will manage multiple projects, collaborating with editorial and production teams to design high-quality book interiors, typeset proofs, and prepare print-ready files.
Key responsibilities
Simultaneously handle 12-20 projects throughout the publishing cycle
Collaborate with editorial, production, and art directors from design concept to final print-ready files
Initiate problem-solving and manage project progress to meet deadlines effectively
Required qualifications
Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in designing and typesetting book interiors
BA in Design, particularly in interior book design and typography
Expertise in Adobe CC Suite, especially InDesign, with strong typography skills
Comprehensive knowledge of long document production and printing processes
Strong understanding of trade book design and current industry trends
