Freelance Assistant Designer

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Freelance Assistant Designer to provide temporary support to its outerwear design team for a couple of months. This role will contribute to men's, women's, and kids' outerwear programs across multiple brands including Eddie Bauer, Lands' End, and Quiksilver Mens.

Responsibilities

• Support the outerwear design team throughout the product development process.
• Assist with design research, concept development, color and material coordination, and presentation preparation.
• Help organize design files, samples, seasonal information, and team communications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to help maintain project timelines and deliverables.
• Provide general design support across men's, women's, and kids' product categories as needed.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of relevant apparel design or assistant design experience.
• Outerwear experience is not required, but is a strong plus.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced freelance environment.
• Ability to support multiple product categories and adapt to evolving team needs.
