The successful candidate will work on a broad range of sophisticated transactions for innovative businesses, creators, rights holders and emerging companies operating across the creative industries.Offering significant responsibility, direct client exposure and high-quality work from day one, this role is ideal for a lawyer who enjoys being closely involved in deal-making and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.The RoleYou will support and lead transactions across a wide range of industries and content platforms, including:Film and televisionStreaming and digital mediaPodcasts and audio contentPublishingTheatre and live entertainmentSports and promotional venturesMarketing and advertisingTechnology and digital productsIntellectual property licensing and exploitationCommercial and corporate transactionsWorking closely with partners and clients, you will play an active role in transactions from initial structuring through to negotiation, execution and post-completion matters.Key ResponsibilitiesDraft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial, media and IP-related agreementsManage transactions from inception through to completionAdvise clients on deal strategy and commercial objectivesCollaborate with partners and colleagues on complex mattersMaintain strong client relationships through responsive and practical adviceMonitor legal and commercial developments impacting client industriesManage multiple matters while maintaining exceptional attention to detailCandidate ProfileThe successful candidate will possess:Admission to the New York Bar (required)Approximately 2-3 years of transactional legal experienceStrong drafting and negotiation skillsExcellent analytical and commercial judgementOutstanding written and verbal communication abilitiesStrong organisational and project management skillsThe ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team cultureA proactive and solutions-focused approach to client serviceDesirable ExperienceExperience in one or more of the following areas would be advantageous:Intellectual property transactions and licensingMedia and entertainment agreementsTechnology and digital media transactionsCommercial contractsCorporate and business transactionsContent production, distribution and exploitation arrangementsA genuine interest in intellectual property, media, entertainment, technology, culture and the creative industries is highly desirable.What's on Offer?
