AVP- Commercial P&C Leader (NYC, Los Angeles, Chicago, VA, NE)

The Senior Commercial Lines Underwriting Leader will oversee a $300M+ Commercial P&C portfolio and lead a team through significant growth, transformation and expansion. This role will drive underwriting strategy, portfolio profitability, underwriting appetite, risk selection and overall business performance across the Commercial organization.
Requirements:
10+ years of Commercial P&C underwriting experience with 5–10+ years of underwriting leadership experience preferred
Broad Commercial P&C underwriting experience with strong Small/Middle Commercial expertise
Proven experience owning portfolio profitability, underwriting strategy, appetite, pricing, risk selection and loss ratio performance
Experience leading leaders and managing through multiple levels of an underwriting organization
Strong experience with Commercial Lines such as Contractors, BOP, Commercial Auto, Workers’ Compensation and/or General Commercial
Experience with independent agency distribution and broker relationships strongly preferred
Ability to help scale and expand a Commercial portfolio through significant growth
Experience with underwriting transformation, systems modernization, process improvement and change management a plus
Strong executive presence, communication skills and ability to operate with autonomy
