About the Role
Bonsai Coffee Bar is looking for a creative, organized, and proactive

Marketing & Partnerships Coordinator

to join our team.

As we continue to grow Bonsai and our matcha brand, Bonsai HIBI, we're looking for someone who can help bring our ideas to life from social media and content creation to brand collaborations, events, creator partnerships, email marketing, and e-commerce.

You'll work closely with the founders on creative direction and marketing strategy while taking ownership of the day-to-day execution.

This is a hands-on role for someone who loves both the creative side of building a brand and making things happen behind the scenes.

Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Relevant experience can include internships, freelance work, personal projects, content creation, student organizations, or managing social accounts. We're less concerned about years of experience and more interested in finding someone with great taste, strong organizational skills, initiative, and excitement about what we're building.

What You'll Work On
SOCIAL MEDIA + CONTENT

Help plan and execute social strategy for Bonsai Coffee Bar

Help launch and grow Bonsai HIBI's dedicated social channels

Build and manage content calendars for Instagram and TikTok

Film and edit short-form content including Reels and TikToks

Capture behind-the-scenes, product, team, cafe, and event content

Write captions and manage posting

Monitor trends and identify relevant content opportunities

Organize our photo and video content library

Track performance and help identify what's working

Effectively share our USPs and tell our story through content

PARTNERSHIPS + EVENTS

Manage inbound collaboration and partnership opportunities

Identify brands and organizations that align with Bonsai and HIBI

Proactively reach out to potential brand partners

Help brainstorm collaborations and activations

Coordinate pop-ups, community events, matcha workshops, brand activations, and other events

Develop relationships with local businesses, fitness and wellness brands, universities, offices, and community organizations

Help market and capture content around events

CREATORS + HIBI MATCHA

Identify creators who align with Bonsai and HIBI

Coordinate creator outreach, gifting, and product seeding

Build and maintain relationships with creators

Coordinate creator visits to Bonsai

Help pack and ship HIBI gifting, creator packages, and online orders as needed

Source and organize UGC for our social channels

Help support HIBI product launches and retail campaigns

EMAIL + SMS

Help build our email and SMS marketing calendar

Create campaigns for customer retention, HIBI sales, new products, seasonal menus, events

Write marketing copy and build campaigns

Help grow our email and SMS audiences

DESIGN + MARKETING SUPPORT

Create simple, on-brand graphics using Canva, Adobe, or similar tools

Design social graphics, flyers, promotional materials, event collateral, and in-store signage

Help coordinate photoshoots and product launches

Keep marketing calendars, creator lists, partnership pipelines, and projects organized

Support neighborhood marketing and future Bonsai openings

Jump into other creative and marketing projects as the brands continue to grow

Who We're Looking For
You might be a great fit if you:

Have a strong eye for branding, design, and social content

Understand Instagram and TikTok and genuinely enjoy creating content

Are comfortable filming and editing short-form video

Have experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar creative tools

Are extremely organized and good at keeping track of multiple projects

Are proactive and don't always need to be told what to do next

Are comfortable reaching out to brands, creators, and potential partners

Are a strong writer and communicator

Enjoy both coming up with ideas and actually executing them

Are excited about coffee, matcha, food, hospitality, culture, and community

Are comfortable working in a fast-moving small business where you'll need to wear many hats
