The Opportunity

We are a high-volume, domestic manufacturer of home goods and textiles seeking a Director of E-Commerce to architect our next phase of digital growth. Historically reliant on traditional wholesale channels, we are aggressively expanding our digital footprint across Amazon, Wayfair, and Big Box dot-coms. This is a P&L-owning role. You will bridge the gap between our legacy factory floor and high-margin digital channels, managing the transition from a volume-based supplier to a premium, brand-driven retail operator.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full eCommerce ecosystem-from customer acquisition and conversion to retention and overall customer experience. This role requires strong analytical skills, strategic planning capabilities, and the ability to lead cross-functional collaboration across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the SVP of Sales to develop and refine the company’s overall eCommerce strategy, including evaluation and execution of our Amazon strategy and architecture.

  • Develop and execute the company’s eCommerce business plan, including evaluating, launching, and and scaling distinct digital sub-brands to capture high-margin opportunities without triggering channel conflict with our legacy partners.

  • Create and manage the strategic marketing calendar across all digital channels

  • Lead the eCommerce team in delivering exceptional online customer experiences across our website and those of our partners.

  • Oversee daily eCommerce operations, including site performance, maintenance, and analytics.

  • Own the digital P&L. Build the reporting framework to move beyond vanity metrics, focusing executive leadership on Net Channel Profitability and Total Advertising Cost of Sales across Amazon, Wayfair, Home Depot, and Walmart.

  • Implement a \"test and learn\" approach to improve campaign performance, messaging, and targeting.

  • Manage the development of marketing content, including campaigns, copywriting, product content, and photography.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Production, Replenishment Services, Finance, and Warehouse teams.

  • Review monthly performance reports and provide strategic recommendations.

  • If appropriate, partner with our Board and Executive team to source, onboard, and manage a top-tier external marketplace agency. You will direct the strategy for catalog overhauls, A+ content, and defensive advertising, holding the agency strictly accountable to margin targets.

Qualifications

  • E-Commerce: 5+ years of e-commerce experience, specifically managing high-SKU catalogs and driving revenue growth.

  • Amazon & Marketplace Mastery: Deep, structural understanding of Amazon Seller Central (3P), Brand Registry, FBA/FBM logistics, and ASIN variation rules.

  • Big Box Retail Portals: 2+ years of experience navigating the digital ecosystems of major physical retailers (e.g., Home Depot IDM, Walmart Retail Link, Wayfair Partner Home).

  • Data-Driven Rigor: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex portal data into clear, actionable executive insights and business plans.

  • On-Site Presence: This is a full-time, in-person role requiring daily cross-functional coordination at our corporate facility.

  • Proven track record launching or scaling brands online

  • Ability to communicate insights, trends, and strategic recommendations clearly to leadership

  • Results-driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

  • Experience developing business plans and eCommerce growth strategies

  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills across departments
