Emergency Communications Specialist

City of Somerton is seeking an Emergency Communications Dispatcher to handle emergency and non-emergency calls, enter data into CAD, and coordinate with police, fire, EMS, and other agencies. The role requires quick decision-making, calm communication, and adherence to procedures.
Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, 6 months of related experience, and the ability to obtain ACJIS/NCIC and CPR certifications within six months. Strong typing and background checks are required.
