Our client is seeking a highly motivated and strategic Associate Director, HCP Marketing, Peer-to-Peer Education & Congress to join their U.S. Marketing team.

This is a high-impact marketing position requiring strong cross-functional leadership, agency management experience, and a proven ability to deliver compliant educational programs that drive meaningful engagement with healthcare professionals.

The ideal candidate will combine strong pharmaceutical marketing expertise with exceptional project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of innovative HCP Peer-to-Peer (P2P) educational programs.

Partner closely with Medical Communications and external agencies to develop impactful educational content and engagement strategies.

Build, manage, and optimize a national Speaker Bureau.

Identify, recruit, contract, and develop Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and expert faculty.

Lead annual speaker training initiatives to ensure all speakers remain compliant, current, and effective communicators.

Develop and implement new approaches for engaging healthcare professionals through educational programming.

Monitor program effectiveness and continuously improve speaker and audience engagement strategies.

Congress Strategy & Execution

Own the strategy, planning, and execution of national and regional congress activities.

Develop comprehensive congress plans aligned with brand objectives and customer engagement goals.

Coordinate all congress-related activities, including:

Booth strategy and design

Scientific presentations

Promotional materials

Digital and print assets

On-site logistics and execution

Partner with cross-functional teams to maximize congress impact and visibility.

Establish KPIs and measure success through post-congress reporting and analytics.

Deliver insights and recommendations to improve future congress strategies.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Agency Management

Serve as the primary marketing liaison to Medical Communications agencies and other external partners.

Manage agency relationships to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to brand strategy.

Collaborate closely with:

Medical Affairs

Legal

Regulatory

Compliance

Market Access

Ensure all promotional and educational activities meet regulatory and compliance requirements.

Manage project budgets and forecasting in partnership with finance teams.

Drive operational excellence and accountability across vendor and agency partnerships.

Qualifications
Required

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, Healthcare, or a related field.

7+ years of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare marketing experience.

Minimum 3+ years of experience supporting HCP marketing initiatives.

Demonstrated experience developing and executing peer-to-peer educational programs.

Experience managing Speaker Bureau programs and KOL engagement initiatives.

Proven congress planning and execution experience.

Strong project management and vendor management capabilities.

Experience working collaboratively across Medical Affairs, Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance functions.

Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

MBA or advanced degree.

Rare disease, specialty pharmaceutical, or respiratory experience.

Experience launching new brands or supporting growth-stage products.

Strong understanding of promotional review processes and pharmaceutical compliance requirements.

Experience working with medical communications agencies and field teams.
